As per the data released by the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA), the country's average daily crude steel output during the initial ten days of May was up by 3%
BEIJING (Scrap Monster) : As per the data released by the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA), the country’s average daily crude steel output during the initial ten days of May was up by 3% in comparison with the output during the preceding 10 days.
The average crude steel output during the period from May 1 to 10 is 2.193 million tonnes. This is 3% higher than the average daily crude steel output of 2.129 million tonnes during late April.
The Chinese mills have managed to keep the daily crude steel production above 2 million tonnes since mid February. The 3% rise during the week beginning May is the highest increase recorded over the preceding 10 days since the early February rise of 4.4%.
