China's zinc concentrate imports declined sharply by 45% year-on-year to 123790 tons in April this year, as per latest data released by the General Administration of Customs (GAC).

BEIJING (Scrap Monster): China's zinc concentrate imports declined sharply by 45% year-on-year to 123790 tons in April this year, as per latest data released by the General Administration of Customs (GAC).
According to the Customs data, country's lead concentrate imports gained slightly by 0.23% year-on-year to 134561 tons in April while its copper concentrate imports rose by 2.15% year-on-year to 474903 tons.
--China's zinc concentrate imports declined 31% year-on-year to 658155 ton in the first four months of this year.
--Country's lead concentrate imports rose by 10.5% year-on-year to 538189 tons in the same period.
--China's copper concentrate imports advanced by 18.8% to 2235158 tons in January-April 2012.
Australia is the largest Copper concentrate exporter to China and Chile is the second. In April, China imported 84637 tonnes of Copper concentrate from Australia and 78819 tons from Chile.
