China alumina imports down 57.2% through Jan to May

BEIJING (Scrap Monster): China’s alumina imports dropped 57.2% to 94 million tons during Jan to May, according to Chinese Customs data.

China imported 11 million tons of alumina in May.

China imported 74,880 tons of unwrought aluminum and aluminum products in May, and the imports were down by 11.0% to 395,895 tons from Jan. to May.

China exported 70,413 tons of unwrought aluminum in May, up by 3.5% to 289,504 tons from Jan. to May compared to the same period, Yieh Corp reported.
