B.C-based specialty metal recycling firm ties up with US Critical Materials Institute

VANCOUVER (Scrap Monster): B.C-based specialty metal recycling company, American Manganese has entered into a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) with the US Critical Materials Institute to explore possible business and research options in the field of manganese and recycled lithium-ion batteries. The agreement allows both parties to exchange certain confidential and proprietary information with each other.

American Manganese Inc. is a diversified specialty and critical metal company focused on capitalizing on its patented intellectual property through low cost production or recovery of electrolytic manganese products throughout the world. The company holds patents in the U.S., China and South Africa for its proprietary process to recover high-purity manganese metals from low-grade resources.

The Critical Materials Institute is a Department of Energy Innovation Hub led by the U.S. Department of Energy’s Ames Laboratory. CMI seeks ways to eliminate and reduce reliance on rare-earth metals and other materials critical to the success of clean energy technologies.
