BUENOS AIRES (Scrap Monster): Argentina crude steel production increased sharply by 13.4% month-on-month to 450,000 metric tons in February and up by 2.2% year-on-year, as per latest date released by Argentina's Chamber of Steel.
According to the data, country's hot rolled steel product production advanced sharply by 43.6% month-on-month 389,600 metric tons and down by 3.8% year-on-year.
It is including the production of 205,500 metric tons of hot rolled flat steel products, up by 79.6% month-on-month, and 184,200 metric tons of long steel products, up by 17.3% month-on-month.
The country's cold rolled flat steel product production in February fell by 9.1 percent month-on-month to 103,100 metric tons, down by 17.6% year-on-year.
In the first two months of this year, Argentina's crude steel production increased by 5.9% year-on-year to 846,800 metric tons.
