9th October, 2017: Chinese Scrap Metal Prices Rose Sharply on Index

BEIJING (Scrap Monster): The Chinese aluminum scrap prices surged higher on ScrapMonster Price Index  as on October 9^th, Monday. Brass, Bronze and Copper Scrap prices too were up from the previous day. Also, Stainless Steel scrap prices increased marginally on Index. Meantime, Steel scrap prices held steady.

Copper Scrap Prices

The #1 Copper Bare Bright and #1 Copper Wire and Tubing saw price rise of CNY 500 per MT each.

The price of #2 Copper Wire and Tubing also increased by CNY 500 per MT.

#1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery prices were up by CNY 150 per MT over the previous day. The price of #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery too surged higher by CNY 100 per MT when compared with the day before.

Copper Transformer scrap prices saw no variation in prices over the previous day. A marginal rise of CNY 50 per MT was reported Cu Yokes prices.

Cu/Al Radiator and Harness Wire 35% Recovery prices inched higher by CNY 100 per MT each.

Heater Cores were up by CNY 150 per MT on Monday, October 9^th.

Also, Scrap Electric Motors and Sealed Units prices remained unchanged.

Aluminum Scrap Prices

6063 Extrusions witnessed a rise of CNY 150 per MT over the previous day.

Aluminum Ingots and Radiators prices were up by CNY 150 per MT and CNY 50 per MT respectively.

The price of Aluminum Transformers rose by CNY 50 per MT over the previous day.

E.C Aluminum Wire, Old Cast and Old Sheet prices jumped higher by CNY 150 per MT each on October 9^th, 2017.

UBC Scrap prices edged higher by CNY 100 per MT.

Meantime, Zorba 90% NF prices were up marginally by CNY 50 per MT when compared with the previous day.

Steel Scrap Prices

#1 HMS prices held steady at CNY 1,630 per MT on 9^th October, 2017.

Cast Iron Scrap too reported no change in prices.

Stainless Steel Scrap Prices

201 SS prices climbed higher by CNY 100 per MT to reach CNY 4,850 per MT.

304 SS Solid prices too increased by CNY 100 per MT over the previous day.

The price of 304 SS Turning too witnessed a rise of CNY 100 per MT.

309 SS and 310 SS prices witnessed increase of CNY 150 per MT and CNY 200 per MT each.

316 SS Solid scrap prices edged higher by CNY 150 per MT over the day on October 9^th.

Shred SS prices increased by CNY 100 per MT to CNY 9,900 per MT.

Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices

The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in China recorded marginal rise from the previous day.

Brass Radiator scrap prices saw rise of CNY 100 per MT on October 9^th, 2017.

Red Brass and Yellow Brass prices too were up by CNY 100 per MT each.
