9th February, 2018: Chinese Scrap Metal Prices Dropped Heavily on Index

BEIJING (Scrap Monster): The Chinese copper scrap prices declined sharply on ScrapMonster Price Index  as on February 9^th, Friday. Brass and Bronze scrap prices too dropped on Index when compared with the previous day. Stainless Steel scrap prices too were down from the previous day. Meantime, Aluminum and Steel scrap prices mostly held steady on Index.

Copper Scrap Prices

#1 Copper Bare Bright prices were down sharply by CNY 550 per MT over the previous day. The price of #1 Copper Wire and Tubing and #2 Copper Wire and Tubing too declined heavily by CNY 550 per MT each.

#1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery prices have declined by CNY 200 per MT upon comparison with the previous day to touch CNY 27,900 per MT. The price of #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery prices also dropped by CNY 100 per MT over the previous day.

Copper Transformer prices were down by CNY 50 per MT when matched with the prior day.

Cu Yokes and Harness Wire 35% Recovery prices edged lower by CNY 50 per MT and CNY 100 per MT respectively.

Cu/Al Radiator scrap prices declined by CNY 100 per MT.

Heater Cores prices were down by CNY 200 per MT to touch CNY 26,400 per MT on Friday, February 9^th.

Meantime, Scrap Electric Motors and Sealed Units prices remained unchanged when compared with the previous day.

Aluminum Scrap Prices

6063 Extrusions witnessed no change in prices over the previous day.

Aluminum Ingots too remained unchanged.

The prices of Aluminum Radiators and Aluminum Transformers saw no variation.

E.C Aluminum Wire prices remained unmoved at CNY 14,000 per MT.

Old Cast prices too were flat on 9^th February, 2017.

The prices of Old Sheets and UBC held steady on Index.

Zorba 90% INF prices saw no change from the previous day.

Steel Scrap Prices

#1 HMS prices held steady at CNY 1,630 per MT on 9^th February, 2018.

Cast Iron Scrap too reported no change in prices.

Stainless Steel Scrap Prices

201 SS prices declined by CNY 50 per MT to touch CNY 5,350 per MT.

304 SS Solid prices too were down by CNY 100 per MT.

The price of 304 SS Turning dropped by CNY 100 per MT over the previous day.

309 SS and 310 SS prices witnessed decrease of CNY 150 per MT and CNY 200 per MT respectively.

316 SS Solid scrap prices edged lower by CNY 150 per MT over the day on February 9^th.

Shred SS prices too were down by CNY 100 per MT to CNY 10,450 per MT.

Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices

The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in China recorded marginal decline from the previous day.

Brass Radiator scrap prices recorded decline by CNY 100 per MT on February 9^th, 2018.

Red Brass and Yellow Brass prices too were down by CNY 100 per MT each.
