18th September, 2017: Chinese Scrap Metal Prices Surged on Index

BEIJING (Scrap Monster): The Chinese aluminum scrap prices surged higher on ScrapMonster Price Index  as on September 18^th, Monday. Stainless Steel, Brass and Bronze scrap prices soared on Index when matched with the previous day. Copper Scrap prices too were up from the previous day. Meantime, Steel scrap prices held steady.

Copper Scrap Prices

The #1 Copper Bare Bright and #1 Copper Wire and Tubing saw price rise of CNY 350 per MT each.

The price of #2 Copper Wire and Tubing increased by CNY 350 per MT.

#1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery was up CNY 150 per MT to CNY 28,450 per MT. The price of #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery went higher by CNY 100 per MT to touch CNY 24,100 per MT.

Copper Transformer scrap prices witnessed up move of CNY 50 per MT on Index. Also, Cu Yokes prices were up by CNY 50 per MT over the previous day.

Cu/Al Radiator prices increased by CNY 100 per MT over the day.

Harness Wire 35% Recovery and Heater Cores were up by CNY 100 and CNY 150 per MT respectively Monday, September 18^th.

Meantime, prices of Scrap Electric Motors and Sealed Units remained unchanged over the previous day.

Aluminum Scrap Prices

6063 Extrusions witnessed a rise of CNY 200 per MT over the previous day.

Aluminum Radiators and Transformers prices rose marginally over the previous day.

E.C Aluminum Wire prices jumped higher by CNY 200 per MT to touch CNY 16,150 per MT.

Old Cast and Old Sheet prices increased by CNY 200 per MT each on September 18^th.

UBC prices too went higher by CNY 100 per MT on Index.

Meantime, Zorba 90% INF prices remained unchanged on Index.

Steel Scrap Prices

#1 HMS prices held steady at CNY 1,630 per MT on 18^th September, 2017.

Cast Iron Scrap too reported no change in prices.

Stainless Steel Scrap Prices

201 SS and 304 SS Solid prices remained flat on Index.

304 SS Turning too registered no change in daily prices.

309 SS prices were unchanged on September 18^th, 2017.

310 SS prices witnessed slight decline of CNY 50 per MT over the previous day.

Meantime, 316 SS Solid and Shred SS prices held steady at CNY 11,850 per MT and CNY 9,850 per MT respectively.

Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices

The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in China recorded marginal rise from the previous day.

Brass Radiator scrap prices saw rise of CNY 50 per MT on September 18^th, 2017.

Red Brass and Yellow Brass prices too were up by CNY 50 per MT each.
