18th October, 2017-North American Copper and Aluminum Scrap Prices Dropped on Index

TORONTO (Scrap Monster): The North American copper scrap prices tumbled on ScrapMonster Price Index  as on October 18^th, Wednesday. Aluminum and Copper scrap prices declined on Index. Stainless Steel scrap prices remained unchanged. Brass and Bronze scrap prices too witnessed no change over the previous day. Meantime, Steel scrap prices were flat on Index.

Copper Scrap Prices

Alternator prices held steady upon comparison with the previous day. The price of #1 Copper Wire and Tubing slipped by $0.05 per Lb. #2 Copper Wire and Tubing prices were also down by $0.05 per Lb. The price of #1 Copper Bare Bright also went lower by $ 0.05 per Lb.

The prices of #1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery declined by $0.02 per Lb. #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery prices too were down by $0.01 per Lb from the previous day prices. #3 Copper-Light copper prices dropped sharply by $0.05 per Lb.

The prices of Copper Radiator registered decline of $0.02 per Lb over the previous day.

Copper Transformer and Cu/Al Radiator Ends prices held steady.

Cu/Al Radiators and Cu Yokes prices edged lower by $0.01 per Lb.

Cu/Al Radiators/Fe prices dropped by $0.01 per Lb each over the previous day.

Meanwhile, Romex Wire prices saw decline of $0.02 per Lb on October 18^th.

Harness Wire 35% Recovery prices decreased by $0.01 per Lb. The prices of Heater Cores too witnessed marginal decline of $0.01 per Lb.

Scrap Electric Motors, Sealed units, Starters and Xmas Lights witnessed no change over the previous day.

Aluminum Scrap Prices

1100 Scrap prices declined by $0.01 per Lb. The prices of 3003 Scrap too fell $0.01 per Lb. A down move of $0.01 per Lb was witnessed in 356 Aluminum Wheels. Meantime, 6063 Extrusions and 6063 Extrusions/Fe, 5052 Scrap and 6061 Extrusions prices fell by $0.01 per Lb each.

The prices of Al/Cu Radiators and Al/Cu Radiators/Fe prices declined by $0.01 per Lb each. The price of Aluminum Radiators declined by $0.01 per Lb. Aluminum Transformer and Aluminum Radiators/Fe prices held steady over the previous day on October 18^th.

Breakage 50% Recovery prices too remained unchanged.

Chrome Wheels and Litho Sheets too witnessed decline of $0.01 per Lb each.

E.C Aluminum Wire prices slipped by $0.02 per Lb.

The prices of Mixed Aluminum Turnings remained flat.

MLC Clips recorded marginal decline of $0.01 per Lb.

Old Cast, Painted Siding and UBC prices were down marginally by $0.01 per Lb.

Zorba 90% NF and Old Sheet prices too dropped by $0.01 per Lb.

Steel Scrap Prices

#1 Bundle prices remained flat at $330 per MT.

The prices of #1 Busheling and #1 HMS too reported no change on 18^th October, 2017.

HMS 80/20 prices held steady at $240 per MT.

Sheet Metal, Shredded Auto Scrap and Structural Steel also saw no change in prices when compared with the previous day.

Stainless Steel Scrap Prices

201 SS and 301 SS prices reported no change.

304 SS Solid prices remained unchanged at $0.51 per Lb over the previous day. 309 SS prices too saw no change in prices.

304 SS Turning witnessed no variation in prices on 18^th October, 2017.

310 SS and 330 SS prices saw no change in prices on a daily basis.

Meantime, 316 SS Solid prices were flat at $0.72 per Lb.

Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices

The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in the North American region remained totally flat on Index.

70/30 Brass Scrap, 80/20 Brass Scrap, 85/15 Brass Scrap and Brass Radiator scrap prices reported no change in prices on Wednesday, October 18, 2017.

Brass Radiator /Fe and Brass Radiator Ends prices maintained the previous day price levels.

Red Brass, Red Borings and Yellow Brass prices too remained flat on Index.
