16th Aug, 2017-North American Scrap Metal Prices Climbed Significantly Higher on Index

TORONTO (Scrap Monster): The North American copper scrap prices remained buoyant on ScrapMonster Price Index  as on August 16^th, Wednesday. Aluminum, Stainless Steel, Brass and Bronze scrap prices too surged higher on Index. Steel scrap prices held steady on Index when matched with the day before.

Copper Scrap Prices

The price of Alternator scrap increased marginally by $0.01 per Lb over the previous day. The price of #1 Copper Wire and Tubing rose by $0.07 per Lb. #2 Copper Wire and Tubing prices were also up by $0.07 per Lb. The price of #1 Copper Bare Bright went higher by $ 0.07 per Lb.

The prices of #1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery have increased by $0.03 per Lb over the previous day. #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery prices too were up by $0.02 per Lb. #3 Copper-Light copper prices edged higher by $0.07 per Lb to touch $2.54 per Lb.

The prices of Copper Radiator scrap saw slight increase by $0.02 per Lb. Copper Transformer Scrap prices were up by $0.01 per Lb. CuYokes and Cu/Al Radiator Ends prices marginal rise by $0.01 per Lb each from the previous day.

Meanwhile, the prices of Cu/Al Radiators and Cu/Al Radiators/Fe were up by $0.02 per Lb on August 16^th, 2017.

Heater Cores, Harness Wire 35% Recovery and Romex Wire prices edged higher by $0.02 per Lb each.

The prices of Scrap Electric Motors, Starters, Sealed units and Xmas Lights registered slight increase of $0.01 per Lb each.

Aluminum Scrap Prices

1100 Scrap prices moved higher by $0.02 per Lb. The prices of 3003 Scrap too increased by $0.02 per Lb. An up move of $0.02 per Lb was witnessed in 356 Aluminum Wheels (Clean). Meantime, 5052 Scrap and 6061 Extrusions price saw marginal increase of $0.02 per Lb each over the day. 6063 Extrusions and 6063 Extrusions/Fe prices too were up by $0.02 per Lb each.

The prices of Al/Cu Radiators and Al/Cu Radiators/Fe have increased by $0.02 per Lb each over the previous day. The prices of Aluminum Radiators/Fe and Aluminum Radiators prices saw marginal rise of $0.01 per Lb. Breakage 50% Recovery and Aluminum Transformer prices were up by $0.01 per Lb on 16^th August, 2017.

Chrome Wheels witnessed rise of $0.02 per Lb. Mixed Aluminum Turnings ended marginally higher by $0.01 per Lb over the previous day.

E.C Aluminum Wire and MLC Clips were up by $0.02 per Lb each.

The prices of Old Cast, Litho Sheets and Old Sheet increased by $0.02 per Lb.

Painted Sliding and UBC prices were up by $0.02 per Lb each.

Zorba 90% NF prices remained flat over the previous day.

Steel Scrap Prices

#1 Bundle prices remained flat at $350 per MT.

The prices of #1 Busheling and #1 HMS too reported no change on 16^th August, 2017.

HMS 80/20 prices held steady at $265 per MT.

Sheet Metal, Shredded Auto Scrap and Structural Steel also saw no change in prices when compared with the previous day.

Stainless Steel Scrap Prices

201 SS prices remained unchanged. 301 SS prices too witnessed no change on Index.

304 SS Solid prices edged higher by $0.01 per Lb to touch $0.51 per Lb as on August 16^th.

The price of 304 SS Turning held steady over the previous day.

309 SS and 310 SS prices witnessed rise by $0.01 per Lb and $0.02 per Lb respectively.

316 SS Solid scrap prices inched higher by $0.01 per Lb over the day.

330 SS prices settled at $1.17 per Lb, increasing by $0.02 per Lb.

Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices

The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in the North American region soared on Index.

70/30 Brass Scrap, 80/20 Brass Scrap, 85/15 Brass Scrap and Brass Radiator scrap prices surged higher by $0.02 per Lb each on August 16^th, 2017.

Brass Radiator /Fe and Brass Radiator Ends prices were up by $0.01 per Lb each over the day.

Red Brass, Red Borings and Yellow Brass prices increased by $0.02 per Lb each on Index.
