13th October, 2017: Chinese Scrap Metal Prices Remained Buoyant on Index

BEIJING (Scrap Monster): The Chinese aluminum scrap prices surged higher on ScrapMonster Price Index  as on October 13^th, Friday. Stainless Steel scrap prices soared on Index when matched with the previous day. Copper Scrap prices too were up from the previous day. Meantime, Steel, Brass and Bronze scrap prices held steady.

Copper Scrap Prices

The #1 Copper Bare Bright and #1 Copper Wire and Tubing saw price rise of CNY 150 per MT each.

The price of #2 Copper Wire and Tubing also increased by CNY 150 per MT.

#1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery prices were up slightly by CNY 50 per MT over the previous day. The price of #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery remained unchanged when compared with the day before.

Copper Transformer scrap prices saw no variation in prices over the previous day. No price-change was witnessed in Cu Yokes.

Cu/Al Radiator and Heater Cores prices reported no change over the previous day.

Harness Wire 35% Recovery prices saw no change on Friday, October 13^th.

Also, Scrap Electric Motors and Sealed Units prices remained unchanged.

Aluminum Scrap Prices

6063 Extrusions witnessed a rise of CNY 200 per MT over the previous day.

Aluminum Radiators and Transformers prices rose marginally by CNY 100 per MT over the previous day.

E.C Aluminum Wire prices jumped higher by CNY 200 per MT to touch CNY 16,300 per MT.

Old Cast and Old Sheet prices increased by CNY 200 per MT each on October 13^th.

UBC and Zorba 90% INF prices too went higher by CNY 100 per MT on Index.

Steel Scrap Prices

#1 HMS prices held steady at CNY 1,630 per MT on 13^th October, 2017.

Cast Iron Scrap too reported no change in prices.

Stainless Steel Scrap Prices

201 SS prices climbed higher by CNY 100 per MT to CNY 5,100 per MT.

304 SS Solid prices too increased by CNY 100 per MT over the previous day.

The price of 304 SS Turning witnessed a rise of CNY 100 per MT.

309 SS and 310 SS prices witnessed increase of CNY 150 per MT and CNY 200 per MT respectively.

316 SS Solid scrap prices edged higher by CNY 150 per MT over the day on October 13^th.

Shred SS prices increased by CNY 100 per MT to CNY 10,200 per MT.

Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices

The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in China recorded no change from the previous day.

Brass Radiator scrap prices held steady at CNY 31,100 per MT on October 12^th, 2017.

Red Brass and Yellow Brass prices too remained unchanged.
