Ukrainian Steel product exports dip in first half of 2012: UGMK

According to the data released by metal trading enterprise Ukrainian Mining and Metallurgical Company (UGMK), in the January-June period of the current year Ukraine's exports of steel products decreased by 6.8 percent compared to the same period of last year to 11.729 million mt.

KIEV (Scrap Monster): According to the data released by metal trading enterprise Ukrainian Mining and Metallurgical Company (UGMK), in the January-June period of the current year Ukraine's exports of steel products decreased by 6.8 percent compared to the same period of last year to 11.729 million mt.
In June alone, Ukraine's steel product exports decreased by 21.7 percent compared to May, falling to 1.846 million mt.
In the first six months of the current year, Ukraine registered a 8.8 percent increase year on year in its steel product imports to 875,100 mt. In June alone, Ukraine's steel product imports decreased by 25 percent compared to May, falling to 162,100 mt.
