Characteristics
304 Stainless Steel Channels is the standard "18/8" stainless steel; 304 stainless steel grade is the most versatile and most widely used stainless steel, available in a wider range of products, forms and finishes than any other. It has excellent forming and welding characteristics. The balanced austenitic structure of 304 stainless steel grade enables it to be severely deep drawn without intermediate annealing, which has made this grade dominant in the manufacture of drawn stainless parts such as sinks, hollow-ware and saucepans.
304 Stainless Channel, is a hot rolled stainless channel shape with inside radius corners that is ideal for all structural applications where greater strength and superior corrosion resistance is required. 304 Stainless Channel has a durable dull, grainy mill finish that is widely used for all types of fabrication projects that are exposed to the elements - chemical, acidic, fresh water, and salt water environments.
Applications
Channels manufactured from 304/304L are used for raceways, braces, frames to support equipment, machines, tanks, enclosures and housings. 304/304L stainless steel channel is used for structural support products in a wide range of industries.Corrosion resistance makes it an ideal material for chemical, petrochemical and waste treatment applications.High temperature resistance makes it ideal for use in cryogenic and high temperature processing applications.Surface finish makes it an ideal for food, medical and pharmaceutical manufacturing applications.
304/304L stainless steels are low cost, effective materials that are easy to machine and weld to exact tolerances.
