The location for this position is flexible to align with Major hub locations in Perth, Brisbane, Salt Lake City, Montreal, Mongolia, Singapore and Saguenay.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a Principal, Mobility integration & Architecture to develop and maintain effective strategy through design, standards and roadmaps for Mobility & End User Devices including Mobility Management, Image and Desktop Management, Mobile Application Deployment, Inventory, User Management Tool Administration.

Rio Tinto Information Systems and Technology (IS&T) is charged with delivering the portfolio of projects and services that are provided to and in collaboration with operational business units and other shared service organizations.

What the role entails

This role is responsible for improving the End User Experience, quality assurance and guidance to the Productivity & Collaboration Functions & Programs, Mobility & Device Platforms and Mobile Applications Management teams. Reporting to the Manager, Mobility & End User Devices, you will be: 

  • Developing architecture capability, roadmaps and supporting solutions for Mobility & End User Devices, including Mobility Management, Image and Desktop Management, Mobile Application Deployment, Inventory, User Management Tool Administration, to meet the goals of the Rio Tinto business and IS&T service strategy
  • Supporting Mobility & End User Devices services including; vision and definitions, architecture design quality assurance of pre-flight and inflight projects, reference architecture development and road mapping.
  • Ensuring provision of secure, interoperable, sustainable, reusable solutions across the portfolio
  • Developing strategy for overall domain direction and supporting capabilities in alignment with Business, Technology and Application domain strategies.
  • Actively engaging with peer level in Business/Technology/ Information/ Application Architecture, Productivity & Collaboration Functions & Programs, Mobility & Device Platforms and Mobile Applications Management teams to monitor quality of solution design through delivery projects and associated transition to support.
  • Leading or supporting the Productivity & Collaboration Functions & Programs team on prototyping and piloting
