European Gas Summit

The date has been set for Platts 11th European Gas Summit and LNG Focus day and will take place in the wonderful city of Rotterdam.Over 2.5 days we will give host to over 150 gas professionals including many key leaders from the industry to provide their own perspective on current issues and then their insight into the future of gas within and outside Europe.

What to expect from 2017?

• For many years, the Gas industry has been fixated on ensuring security of supply, but today, as the European market stands on the precipice of increased US LNG deliveries, the market has switched to ensuring security of demand. Does the industry need to reinvent itself? Will the price battle between LNG and pipeline gas at least ensure demand growth for the short term? These questions and more will be answered
• By the time of this event, we will have a much better understanding of just how much LNG has come to the European market. S&P Global Platts have developed a unique focus day on the LNG market, that will assess the future for global LNG, evaluate pipeline vs LNG prices and what it might do to the market, and explore LNG as a fuel, when will we see growth?
• Assess the potential of current and planned pipeline developments, what impact could they have to the market?What will happen to Ukraine if Nordstream 2 does happen, does Ukraine have the potential to become a storage hub?
• Platts understand the need for effective and valuable networking time, and this event will be no exception. Built into each day are a number of dedicated social functions designed to stimulate participant interaction including an evening drinks reception on day one.
