American Aluminum Extrusion supplies quality aluminum extrusions and fabrications with high standards for meeting or exceeding design and tolerance specifications in some of the most demanding fabricated product markets.

History :

Samuel Popa, a Romanian native, migrated to the United States with the dream of living in the land of opportunity. Through this transition, he was introduced to the Aluminum Extrusion business. Sam quickly realized that his goal was to own his own extrusion company. Through passion and perseverance, he purchased an abandoned aluminum extrusion plant in Japan in June 2001. As the plant was dismantled and shipped to the United States, he searched for the perfect location.

Meanwhile, Beloit Corporation, located in Beloit, WI, filed for Bankruptcy and closed its doors in 1999. Ken and Diane Hendricks – founders of ABC Supply, saw an opportunity to utilize this space and purchased the buildings. During Sam’s search for the perfect location, he came across this newly acquired piece of real estate, which was the perfect size to re-assemble his extrusion line. In the midst of reassembling the extrusion line, in walked Ken and Diane. Intrigued by fellow entrepreneurship, spirit and vision, a strong partnership was created.

Through this partnership, in October 2001, a second division was acquired in Canton, Ohio. In 2011, a third division was purchased in 

Roscoe, IL – formerly the Warner Brake and Electric building. AAE is currently transitioning the entire Beloit plant to Roscoe, consolidating to one location. The most recent project is the re-build of a 5,500 ton press. By the end of 2016, AAE will be running 8, 10, 12, 14 and 15” billet, all housed in the Roscoe, IL location.

Sam’s knowledge and dedication, coupled with the Hendricks’ resilient philosophies, has established a business that supplies standard and custom aluminum extrusion shapes and fabricated aluminum parts to the market.
